Detached Housing-Bungalows

“There are many types of detached housing, but the most popular form is the bungalow. Bungalow originated in India as an adaptation of indigenous dwellings by the British for their own use and was copied in several colonies with hot humid climate.

Both single and two storey detached houses have many advantages. Inherently they are ground related, with easy access to their outdoor extensions, whether garden or backyard. Moreover, the freestanding house admiringly compliments the basic social unit, and it is reviewed as the ideal home in which to raise children” (Schoenauer: 1994).
